Maintaining Your Mental Health

Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Stretching can promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Stretch only until you feel a gentle stretch -
then hold for eight to ten seconds.

Don't bounce.

Try to relax the muscles and in doing so,
you will be able to (gently) stretch it a little bit further.

Start by scrunching up your toes.

Tighten them up and hold for five to ten seconds
then let them relax and stretch them out.

Move on to the next set of muscles;
scrunch tightly then release and stretch.

Go on to each set of muscles in turn till you reach
the muscles you use to furrow your brows.

By this time, your whole body will feel relaxed.
